Road Map to Outreach Curriculum

 Gospel, Prayer & Sanctification

Gospel. The number 1 mission is to lead souls to Christ. This must be done in a

way that does not sway anyone's prior religious views. This should be done by

teaching the word of God and allowing the Holy Spirit to do the ministering. Salvation

is a gift with one stipulation and that is that you must CHOOSE to believe. Because

of the differing backgrounds, knowledge levels and sensitivity to the environment

that we are ministering, leading souls to Christ should only be done by teaching the

gospel, testimony and instructions on obtaining salvation when they are ready.

Prayer. Many young people don't understand the power they have been given        through Christ Jesus. They may not understand that prayer can change their

circumstances. The lessons on prayer should have the same subject matter for

all groups, but taught on different levels. The subjects are:

  • Why should we pray?

  • To whom do we pray?

  • For what do we pray?

  • How do we pray?

Sanctification. It is the process of becoming more like Christ through your daily         walk. We will help by using and giving the tools needed during this

   process. The tools are:

  • Life skills. (teaching them dress codes, verbal communication, proper conduct)

  • Praise and worship. (music, praise dance, meditation)

  • Inspirational words. (Handouts, preaching, lecturing, lessons)

Youth Behavioral Ministry

Weekly we minister to young people that are residents of behavioral centers. We minister to their spiritual side as they receive help for their emotional well being. We attempt to uplift and edify with music interactive lessons and time to be heard.

 Homeless Mission Ministry

We visit those that are residents of missions that service the homeless. We support not only with our presence but also with our financial donations. Many in the mostly male population are struggling with getting back to a normal life one day at a time. We attempt to encourage them as they travel this journey to the Best Days of their lives.

Women's Ministry

With an ever increasing prison population of women we have found a unique need for spiritual mentoring. Many of these women are having to deal with death, abandonment and trying to raise children while not physically present. This causes an extra emotional strain that sometimes can only be lessened through the power of God. We focus on empowering these women to take full control of the one thing they can control...themselves.

MUSIC MINISTRY

Colossians 3:16 says “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.” Music is a very universal language that can touch the heart of the most broken hearted. We even have the example of Jesus, who sang with his apostles. The Bible tells us that everything that has breath should sing praise to God. Best Days Ministries puts a focus on sharing the word of God and praising God through music.
